FJ40

This car came to us through another customer. This customer purchased this FJ in fairly rough condition, but drivable. The drivetrain seems to all be in good working order. What makes it rough is the body. As is usual for Japanese cars from this period, rusty is an understatement. Luckily, the owner has found replacement panels for almost all of the rusty bits. There are just a few smaller pieces we will have to find or fabricate. This cars plan is to be a nice driver that will live its life in Maine. At this point, the whole body is disassembled and ready to begin metal work. The frame and drivetrain need to be pressure washed. The frame will then be treated and coated with POR-15. The engine will have all of the gaskets replaced to get rid of the leaks that have developed over the last 41 years.
